The Frist Center for Autism & Innovation
Client Story:
The Frist Center for Autism and Innovation, engineering technologies and transforming the workplace – inspired by neurodiversity, at the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering brings engineers, business scholars, and disabilities researchers together with experts in neuroscience and education to understand, maximize, and promote neurodiverse talent.
Project Scope:
The FCAI had somewhat of a logo already that had quickly been put together by someone on staff, but the head of the engineering department wanted something clean, “with corporate appeal.” Saxon Creative was brought on board to do just that.
Design Thinking & Results
We used white space in the middle of the logo at a diagonal to symbolize neurodiversity in the brain, but this can also be seen as leverage, a tool for innovative thought and design. The two colors are Vanderbilt black and gold. The logo works well in all social media formats as well as on printed materials.
The Director was very excited about this new direction. Unfortunately, before the logo could be implemented there was a change of leadership at the FCAI and the rebranding was put on hold.
