Magazine Advertising: MM&I Construction & Design, Inc.
Client Story:
Kelly Costanza, the brainchild behind MM&I Construction & Design, first came to Saxon Creative wanting to animate her existing logo. Kelly, a fantastic businesswoman who started out as an interior designer, had enormous ideas. Within just a couple of years, she grew her fledgling company into a multi-million dollar company and was ready to advertise. Understanding PR, she was quick to get her name into the mainstream by gaining a featured story segment in a regional magazine. This is where Saxon Creative comes in.
Project Scope:
Saxon Creative was asked to art direct, develop headline and body copy, and layout and design. Construction can tend to be a little dry (and not very sexy), so we added a little humor and personality. This helped to bring a sense of lightness to the subject matter while also getting across the main idea: SIPs panels are energy-efficient without being boring.
Because two different print ads were going to be used in consecutive months (in the same magazine), we decided it would be fun for one to play off of the other, creating a sense of unity and familiarity between the two.
Results:
MM&I Construction & Design, Inc. has grown into a multi-million dollar company that not only constructs green buildings but develops its own Structural Insulated Panels (known as SIPs), serving other construction companies throughout North and South America as well as the Caribbean.
